Accommodations

Sabine and Tom suggest that you plan to stay right at the Cal-Neva Resort.  The resort is set right on gorgeous Lake Tahoe and has a rustic charm that will transport you to circa 1959.   The room rates go from bargin to ouch!  There are also private "celebrity" cabins available (reserve one now as these are truly being booked quickly by those in the know!). For other accomodations see the links below.

Incline Villiage Hyatt (15 minutes from weeding)
Resort at the Squaw Creek (25 minutes away)
River Ranch (25 minutes away)
Harrah's (50 minutes... but a beautiful drive)
Tahoe City Travelodge
Vacation Rental Homes
Bed and Breakfast

Transportation

We suggest into Reno, NV. and either taking an airport shuttle or renting a car to get to the Cal-Neva Resort (about 45 minutes drive).  For those who may wnat to tie this trip into a San Francisco visit, then flying in and/or out of S.F. is very do-able.   However, plan on renting a car in that scenario and having a 3 hour drive (there is a train between SF anf Tahoe for the ultra-adventurous).  Once in Tahoe you have some options.  Suffice it to say that Lake Tahoe is not New York City  so mass transit and cabs are rather scarce (although they do exist on some level).  But, once you get to the resort, it is pretty much self-contained and all of the major wedding activities are right there.  Also, there will be plenty of people that do opt to rent a car and so catching rides should be too much of an issue.  It's your call, but renting (or sharing a rental) will give you the most freedom.  See the links below.

Activities

Some you will be getting in early for the Golf Tournament on Friday the 22nd and/or the Dinner & Dance Lake Cruise later that evening. Others may not be arriving until later or opt to do their own activities.  e-wedding has put together a variety of links to Lake Tahoe attractions to help in planning your trip.  Please make sure to cross check any plans you may make with the master iternary to avoid any unwanted scheduling conflicts.
